I’ve been making some improvements to A Taste of Therapy. This website was originally built on the twenty ten theme, and there’s no room in the budget to start over, so I’ve been dealing with ~1500 lines of CSS for this very simple site. My tasks were to improve the look and feel of the blog, and to fix the broken registration form. I’ve tightened up the styling (I went to town with webkit), improved the usability and I also went through the site page by page to make the layouts consistent.
I still need to revamp the menu (it is hard-coded right now) and I’d like to make a sweet media query to print the recipes.
Leslie Saunderlin, of dollilop designs, made the menu icons which I love – especially the little bistro table for the philosophy page.
Allison, the site owner, says she loves the improvements!
This is such a cool site that I could tinker with it endlessly. Please check it out, and if you live in the Richmond area, consider taking a class with Allison. Good food and great conversation is always a winning combination!
